Fasting Dynamics
Fasting may be seen as restricting caloric intake to 0 (or close to 0) for a specified duration. Fasting causes depletion or stored resources. The purpose of fasting is, with practical limits, to restrict interaction or coupling with any macronutrients. Fasting is, in a sense, deprivation or starvation for a sustainable duration.
The above chart show a fairly steady weight loss during a water only fasting for a duratin of 15 days (4-10-2016 to 4-24-2016).
The author has observed faster healing and higher immunity during the fasting. Immunity and healing (like in fasting) appear to be higher on reaching ketosis after the third or fourth day. During the heightened immunity, flu and cold infections may resolve in 2-4 hours that usually takes 1-2 weeks on a standard diet.
